Who are you?

Who are you really? Without the degree, without the money, or without any other assets that you’ve obtained along the way, who can you really say you are. People as a whole flaunt the things and the status that society has given us and we boast about it as if it’s a trophy. This is intended for us to forget about the real trophies, the real gold in life is being a genuine person and being able to flaunt your personal assets that you’ve worked on. For example your patience that you’ve earned through your trials and tribulations, the honesty that you’ve picked up and carry proudly now because of all the years that you had to be fake just to get by, or the fact that you genuinely love your self and have finally accepted all of your flaws inside and out. There’s much more that can be added to the list, but the point that I’m trying to make is that those are the real things in life that make us who we are, not the money, not the material assets, or the social status you have. If you’re nothing without the add ons you were just a side to begin with, in order to add on to yourself you have to be whole, therefore these material things won’t help you, they’ll just weigh you down and distract you from the real goals in life. This week I encourage you to write down the things that make you who you are, if your list is full of material things, degrees that you’ve obtained and businesses included, then you need to work on YOU. You’re more than a piece of paper and you’re worth more than money. Knowing yourself is worth more than generational wealth, don’t let this society take that away from you.
