Ever since we were young we were taught attachment; we were attached to our parents, our favorite stuffed animals, our favorite foods, etc. We were never taught to let go of things/people and I believe the reason for that is because life is supposed to teach you those lessons. As you move throughout your life you will come across certain things or people that are attachments to lessons, meaning they are placed in your life in order to learn from experiencing these things/people. They draw you in with such high demand that your focus and interests are invested in them so much that you begin to become attached to them without even knowing it. The problem with this is that, attachments can easily turn into distractions without proper knowledge of why you are attached. With that being said, I want to encourage you to pay attention to your “attachments” and take time to figure out why you are so attached, why these things/people have your interest, when you do this you’ll be able to learn more about yourself and whether your attaching onto things/people for the benefit of becoming wiser or if they are really benefitting and pouring into you as a person. You’ll know if it is healthy for you if you can walk away from the attachment and still feel the same when you decide to come back to. You will never gain independence of the mind if you’re attached to things/people that don’t serve you well, you’ll never be able to fully think and act for yourself.

TWISTED THOUGHTS
Get to know me and not my body.
My body is only the vessel for my heart and without my soul activated it won’t even start.
My heart and soul are in control of where my feelings go. No matter how hard you try to get deep in my insides it’s still my heart and soul that keeps me in drive.
No Climax or orgasm can keep me hooked, but a man that feeds my soul will have me shook.
Because someone like that is hard to find and I’m almost sure that he’d be sublime.
From that moment on I’d belong to him, surrendering every part of me without a murmur or a hymn.
Listening to every word he’d say and giving him much more than 4 play.
He’d deserve more than what my body could offer, so I’d unlock the depths of my soul so he could assume his role. King of all kings, and most importantly, ruler of my mind, body, and soul.

Reflection vs. Validation
The true self requires reflection from those who are around them. When you have meaningful and fulfilling relationships they become a reflection of who you are and you become secure in them. When you don’t have these types of relationships you will often try to seek self validation in some form from those around you. This is where insecurity in ones self comes into play. I don’t believe that insecurity comes from within, we weren’t born to seek validation from others, I believe that insecurity comes from the judgment and ill intentions from those around us and due to the fact that we are all emotional beings, we can feel when things are off for the most part. The feeling of being insecure comes from our surroundings, the things we look at the most, the people we tend to gravitate to, and what we have taught ourselves to believe is valid. I think the problem lies in the fact that we make the feeling of insecurity more about ourselves rather than the people around us or what we have convinced ourselves to believe is true. When you feel insecure instead of trying to change something about yourself try to change your surroundings, evaluate your close relationships as well as your beliefs and motivations at the moment. We were born whole already, it is up to us to continue to be whole and build whole relationships so that the cycle of being whole will continue. You are more than enough, but it is up to you to believe it so that others can see it.

The Unknown
A foolish man is afraid of the unknown, while a wise man steps into the unknown to discover more about themselves. Without the unknown there is no self discovery or growth, as people we don’t grow from the things we know, we grow because we continue to learn new things and we continue to move forward in life. The unknown is only scary when we don’t know or trust ourselves. But one should know that self discovery is prominent in times where we don’t know the possible outcome of things but we continue anyway because we have enough confidence in ourselves to get through whatever it is. The unknown isn’t scary, it’s just that we have gotten into the mindset that safe is better and fear is comforting. So we have shielded ourselves from true self discovery because we have found comfort as well as peace in our routines and emotional patterns. By doing this you become stagnant and stunt your growth, you might know some parts of yourself, but in your comfort you’ll fail to realize that it takes a whole lifetime to truly discover yourself. You are a multifaceted soul, you have many layers and many things to discover about yourself. Your road to self discovery is a path that no one else has taken before, step into it with a confident mindset, you shouldn’t be afraid to meet the person on the other side.

TWISTED THOUGHTS
It’s 2020 and my vision is getting clearer, I don’t wanna say that I’m superior but I feel like I was made for times like this, like it’s apart of my interior.
My focus is so on point that I couldn’t even blur it if I smoked 100 joints.
See I was made for times like this, times where people can see pass the bullshit. Times where people can distinguish the fake from the real, it’s crazy I feel like it’s all apart of my grand reveal.
Like this was God’s plan, like me and him have been walking hand-in-hand. I can’t lie, sometimes I feel bad because in a world where everyone is surviving it seems like I’m steadily thriving.
Only getting better and that’s guaranteed like the change of the weather.

Gratitude
It takes a lot of time and patience to learn how to be grateful. As people we are so used to being focused on the things we don’t have that we tend to lose sight of the things that we already possess. Which is not wrong, it’s apart of the learning process to work for the things you want but what is wrong is to solely focus on those things. When you are solely focused on the things you don’t have you’re only teaching yourself the negative ways of life, such as; being greedy, being envious of those who already have what you want, or being so lustful that you tend to fulfill your desires with anyone just to get what you want. In order to learn some of the positive ways of life you have to have a healthy balance and being grateful teaches you that. There’s a certain high everyone feels when they achieve something, it is important to avoid getting addicted to this feeling but to adapt to it by taking time to be grateful for what you have achieved before moving on to achieve something new. When you learn gratitude you learn to appreciate the things you have more than focusing on the things you don’t have. You’ll begin to understand that taking time to be grateful is beneficial because it’ll reveal the things that you possess that genuinely bring positivity into your life and the things that you have achieved along the way out of greed, lust or envy. If the positive outweighs the negative then you’re on the right path in life, but if the negative outweighs the positive then you should take time to re-evaluate the things you’re truly grateful for and channel that energy into your life.

TWISTED THOUGHTS
Frustrated with trying to fit in because when I stand out people only ask for hand outs. Can I get this or can I have that but they never wanna understand the track.
The track that lead me here and what I had to do to over come my fears.
They just want the ending without the beginning. No wonder I don’t fit in, hard work is all I’m giving.
These people don’t understand what that is, they understand short lived success so they can flex. They only wanna look their best and never wanna stress.
But the stress is what made me and I appreciate it greatly.
Even if I told them how to become successful they’d fold because it would be too stressful. So why waste my time?
My hand outs would never help them so they should just stick with flexin.
