Whether you know it or not, you’re the villain in someone’s story. We can’t please everyone in this life, so someone may hate you and make you out to be the cause for their shortcomings or ill feelings towards the world. We can’t change anyone else’s life story, but we can write our own. If we allow the “villain” scenario to play out in our owns stories, we are giving credit to the villain. In other words, because of the villain I have created this hero persona or I view the world through the eyes of a victim. In reality you, the “villain” was just a pawn in the scheme of things, you allowed the outcome of the situation to affect who you were. Instead, we should learn from the lessons at hand and take those lessons with us throughout life, without attaching people to the lesson. When you put the spotlight on people instead of the lesson you make them your source of anger, frustration or even momentum and making them main character in your life story.
