Embrace Your Difference

In order for us to heal and understand why we behave and react the way we do, we have to first understand that nothing about who we are is “Normal”. According to the dictionary normal means; conforming to a standard; usual, typical or expected. We have to stray away from the mindset of wanting to be “normal” or expect “normal” because it doesn’t exist. We are all different with different life experiences and different coping mechanisms to get us through those life experiences whether good or bad, but that’s what makes us unique. When we take the time to come together to share our stories and share our ways of thinking we are able to open a vulnerable side of ourselves that will allow us to truly think, reflect on our behaviors and understand that no one on this planet fits into a perfect standard. It will also allow us to recognize that some of our behaviors are unhealthy and that we mask them as “normal” just to cover up for past trauma that we haven’t dealt with. “Normal” in itself is unhealthy for us as people, you are not usual, typical or standard, you are an ever changing being that will never conform or fit into a perfect mold, embrace it.

Wake Up Call

When you live in the past, the past becomes your present and future. Often times we dwell on things we wish we could have changed which makes us believe that “we are the way we are” because of that, we then believe that we can’t change certain aspects about ourselves. But I’m here to remind you to wake up, and let go of the past. We get so caught up in our fleeting thoughts that we replay scenarios that affected who we once were and we forget about our growth and who we have become. You have the ability to change and adapt to what you want with action, consistency and will power but if you’re stuck in your thoughts your present and future reality will be a repeat of your past. Wake up and take action your time is valuable, don’t spend it on the past.

THE VILLAIN

Whether you know it or not, you’re the villain in someone’s story. We can’t please everyone in this life, so someone may hate you and make you out to be the cause for their shortcomings or ill feelings towards the world. We can’t change anyone else’s life story, but we can write our own. If we allow the “villain” scenario to play out in our owns stories, we are giving credit to the villain. In other words, because of the villain I have created this hero persona or I view the world through the eyes of a victim. In reality you, the “villain” was just a pawn in the scheme of things, you allowed the outcome of the situation to affect who you were. Instead, we should learn from the lessons at hand and take those lessons with us throughout life, without attaching people to the lesson.  When you put the spotlight on people instead of the lesson you make them your source of anger, frustration or even momentum and making them main character in your life story.

Consistency is the Key

The results of actively doing the work and manifesting the life you want don’t come over night, which makes it hard to stay consistent. In reality consistently doing the work, while manifesting allows the life you want to come into fruition, it takes discipline and faith to keep going. Some days may be hard because you don’t see your work paying off and some days may be easier because you see a slight pay off. Either way it goes, staying consistent and disciplined will pay off in the end, it won’t look like much in the moment, but one day you’ll look back and be grateful that you never gave up. Keep going I’m rooting for you.

Blank Canvas

It’s a new week, a new year and a fresh start for you. Allow yourself to flow freely and create the life you want for yourself, you have a blank canvas to do whatever you please, try your best to make it count. Start today off by claiming what you want for yourself instead of speaking about the things you don’t want for yourself. Fine tune your thoughts and actions to align with what you need and want. Stay focused and stay positive and take it one day at a time, happy Monday everyone.

New Year, New View

As people I think it’s easy for us to get caught up in the idea that our life path’s are supposed to be linear. The reality of it all is, you need the downs to propel you upward and to teach you what your goals should be as well as how to maintain them. Last year may have been rough for you, but take everything you’ve gone through, learn from it and then apply it to your life going forward. Don’t be so hard on yourself about your mistakes or trying to be perfect, go about things differently this year. Focus more on growth than expansion, learning more than trying to lead, and loving yourself instead of pouring yourself into others to love you back. This year is personal, focus on you and everything else will fall through.
